Wyndham Clark left heartbroken by Tiger Woods as he makes surprising confession

“He’ve never played a competitive round with Tiger Woods,” he revealed on urprising the programme’s host. Clark was poised to play Woods – who is part of the Jupiter Links Golf Club, a franchise of the TGL, co-founded by the golfing legend and McIlroy – but to Clark’s dismay, Woods withdrew.

“So, we were playing Jupiter Links, and Tiger was supposed to play,” Clark continued. “I’m all excited, I get my chance to finally play a competitive round with Tiger Woods, and he bailed on us. I’m heartbroken. I hope he hears this.”

Despite the setback, Clark and his team-mates Ludvig Aberg, Min Woo Lee, and Shane Lowry are dominating the cutting-edge indoor competition as part of The Bay club, maintaining an unbeaten streak.

Clark has been vocal in his praise for the innovative three-on-three league, despite the initial challenges of adapting to the new format at the SoFi Center, reports the Mirror US.

“For everyone, it took a little bit of time,” Clark confessed when discussing the transition to TGL. “The ball doesn’t quite curve as much, I’d say, as real golf, and I don’t know if that’s because we don’t have any wind in there or if it’s just that it doesn’t curve as much.

“Then, obviously, the green and some of the chipping stuff takes a little while. I think for everyone, it was about a couple of hours or one simulation match, and you kind of got used to it, and then, now, we’re all kind of dialed in.

“I feel like guys are making putts. We’re making tons of birdies and eagles. I feel like the last three or four matches have been really close and exciting, it’s amazing the quality of golf that guys are playing. We’re all shooting -6/-7/-8 in these rounds.

“Hopefully, it’s been fun for people to watch, and I will say for us, we’re having so much fun. It’s so fun to play really quickly. Play with your friends, talk a little trash, and play the sport we love.”
