Seven-time Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles and her husband Jonathan Owens are part of the 2025 Met Gala host committee, Vogue reported Tuesday.

The 2025 Met Gala takes place May 5 at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. This year’s theme is “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” along with the dress code of “Tailored for You.”

Biles and Owens are not the only athletes on the host committee. Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese and two-time Olympic medalist Sha’Carri Richardson are also members of the group that features luminaries from the worlds of art, music and more.

The co-chairs are actor Colman Domingo; auto racer Lewis Hamilton; musician and fashion designer A$AP Rocky; musician, producer and Louis Vuitton men’s creative director Pharrell Williams; and Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour. Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James is also an honorary chair for the event.

Biles, 27, and Owens, 29, started dating in 2020. They got engaged in 2022 and married in 2023.

Considered by many to be the greatest gymnast in history, Biles has won 11 Olympic medals, seven of which are golds. That includes two individual all-around golds and two team all-around golds.
