Tiger Woods paid tribute to his “biggest fan and biggest supporter” following the news of his mother Kultida’s death.

The former world number one, Woods (49), has not revealed the cause of his mother’s death, which occurred while he was watching a TGL match in Florida last week. Woods said that none of his personal achievements would have been possible without his mother, who regularly attended his tournaments and was present when he won his fifth title of Masters to end an expectation of 11 years to claim a 15th major in 2019.

\ “It is with sincere sadness that I want to share that my dear mother, Kultida Woods, died early this morning, \” Woods, who lost her father Earl in 2006, said on social networks. “My mother was a force of nature in her own right and her spirit was undeniable. She moved the needle quickly and laughed. She was my biggest fan and biggest supporter and without her none of my personal accomplishments would have been possible.

“She was loved by many but especially by her grandsons Sam and Charlie. Thank you all for your support, prayers and privacy at this difficult time for me and my family. Love you Mom.\”
