Simone Biles Writes Emotional Letter, Says Goodbye to Chicago With Jonathan Owens
Gymnastics star Simone Biles has said a heartfelt goodbye to Chicago, the city she lived in while husband Jonathan Owens played his freshman season with the Chicago Bears.
Taking to social media, Biles shared a touching photo of the couple celebrating their time in the Windy City, captioning it: “Goodbye Chicago time, see you in a few months.”
Hinting her return to Houston, she posted another photo on Instagram with her dog and captioned it: “Little mommy trip across the country.” On the way back to Houston with some of my @rfrdacademy best pals.
During the 2024-25 NFL season, Biles was frequently spotted at Bears games and was often seen giving Owens a kiss for good luck before the game.
Owens impressed this season with 49 tackles, two fumble recoveries, two interceptions and an interception. Owens was excited to have the chance to cheer on Biles from the stands after cheering her on in Paris at her triumphant homecoming competition, where she won gold medals in the women’s all-around, vault and team events at the 2024 Summer Olympics.
When asked by Olympics.com about her attendance at the Bears game and how important it was to the two of them, Biles replied, “Oh my God. That means a lot to me.

Biles spoke fondly of cheering on her NFL idol, Owens, and shared her pre-game superstitions: “It’s very important for him that I arrive on the field early because that’s his pre-game routine. That’s why he always looks for me on the sidelines so I can wish him something and wish him good luck. It’s just his superstition.
After the football season ended, Biles released a series of photos commemorating the long-standing tradition, drawing applause from fans. “Cheering on my guys until the end,” she wrote. I’m proud of you 36! She is in the book for the seventh year, “she proudly wrote. Owens responded to his tribute to the declaration of love: \ “I love you very much, baby. \”
Despite his roots in Texas, Bills accepted Chicago’s pilgrimage and said he was not afraid as expected: “Honestly, not bad, \”. She revealed how they’ve already found their favourite local dining spot, praising Maple and Ash as their top choice. \”We love Maple and Ash,\” Biles admitted. \”We go there quite frequently, so I would say Maple and Ash.\”
